Choosing the Right Tech Stack for Your Startup

10 Jun 20265 min read

A practical framework for picking technology that won't box you in six months from now.

Most early-stage teams over-index on what's trendy and under-index on what's boring but reliable. The right stack is the one your team can ship and maintain confidently, not the one with the most stars on GitHub.

For most web products, we default to Next.js and TypeScript on the frontend, Node.js or Laravel on the backend, and PostgreSQL for anything relational. It's a combination that scales from MVP to enterprise without a rewrite.

Mobile is where the real fork happens: Flutter and React Native both get you to two platforms fast, but the right choice depends on how deep you'll eventually need to go into platform-specific features.
